Mark De Vries was the hero of the evening, as we look back to 2006 for today’s FA Cup Classic. Tottenham visited the Walkers Stadium in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, sitting 4th in the Premier League at the time. Unsurprisingly, being the form team in the Premier League, they took a two goal advantage early on with goals from Jermaine Jenas and Paul Stalteri, which Spurs in the driving seat. City, who sat in the Championship relegation zone, pulled one back just before the break with a goal from Elvis Hammond. Stephen Hughes levelled the game midway through the second half, before Mark De Vries netted a last gasp winner to send the home crowd into hysterics and capped off one of the most memorable nights at Filbert Way.
